Ifex M Injection is administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Inform your doctor if you have any known allergy from this medication. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, hair loss, low number of blood cells, and decreases in white blood cell count. Your doctor may ask you to undergo blood tests before or during the treatment.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Ifex M Injection is a combination of two medicines: Mesna and Ifosfamide. Mesna works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication. Ifosfamide is a cytoprotective medicine which is added to reduce the risk of bleeding and swelling in the bladder caused by Mesna.
Drink at least two to three quarts of fluid every 24 hours Take anti-nausea medications as prescribed by your doctor Eat small, frequent meals Avoid crowds or people with colds Report fever or any other signs of infection immediately to your doctor
