Tablet DT
Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic medicine that is given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections associated with the ear, nose, throat, tonsils, lungs, and skin. It may also be prescribed as a second line of treatment for urinary tract infections.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. This activity stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Contact your doctor if your child has diarrhea that goes on for more than 4 days or if it is severe and watery or contains blood. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. This medicine is not to be taken in such cases. Only give Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child’s doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine. You may see white patches inside your child’s mouth and throat after a prolonged intake of Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT. This could be due to a fungal infection. So if your child develops any such effect, contact your doctor right away.
If you think your child has taken an extra dose of Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT, it is unlikely to cause harm. However, immediately speak to a doctor as overdose may lead to unwanted side effects and worsen their condition.
Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT may rarely cause severe gastrointestinal infections, persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, and severe diarrhea. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, consult their doctor.
Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT may interact with other substances or medications. Inform your child's doctor about any other medicines they are taking before starting Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT, and check with the doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Antibiotics typically do not interfere with vaccines or cause a bad reaction in children who have just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should wait until they recover from the illness before getting vaccinated.
Hyfexin Kid 125mg Tablet DT may affect good bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract and increase the risk of developing other infections. If your child experiences diarrhea, do not stop the medicine course abruptly; instead, consult their doctor for further guidance.
