Gel
Hydent-K Medicated Oral Gel is a medicated gel that is used for the management of tooth sensitivity, dental caries, toothaches, and dental hypersensitivity. It contains Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Monoflurosulphate, and Triclosan, which work together to prevent cavities, reduce sensitivity, and control plaque.
Use a pea-sized amount of the gel on a toothbrush, gently brush or massage the gel onto the teeth and gums in a circular motion, allow the gel to sit on the teeth and gums for a minute or two, spit out the excess gel and rinse the mouth with water, use twice a day, or as directed by the healthcare provider.
The potassium nitrate in Hydent-K Medicated Oral Gel helps to reduce tooth sensitivity by blocking nerve impulses that cause pain, while the sodium monofluorophosphate helps to strengthen teeth and prevent tooth decay. The triclosan is an antibacterial agent that helps to control plaque.
Avoid consuming hard and crunchy foods and stick to soft foods and room-temperature drinks to prevent tooth sensitivity.
Tooth sensitivity is a common dental condition where the teeth become sensitive to hot or cold temperatures, sweet or sour foods, and even air. People with sensitive teeth may experience pain or discomfort when consuming certain foods or drinks, or when exposed to certain temperatures or air.
Several factors can cause tooth sensitivity including gum recession, enamel erosion, tooth decay, cracked teeth, tooth grinding, and acid reflux.
