Hycin 50mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine commonly given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections such as infections of the ear, nose, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is essential to complete the entire course of treatment to prevent the bacteria from multiplying again or causing another infection.
Your child must complete the entire course of Hycin 50mg Tablet. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection.

Hycin 50mg Tablet is an antibiotic that works by interfering with the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to perform important functions. It stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading.
Your child must complete the entire course of Hycin 50mg Tablet. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Never use this medicine for viral infections such as common cold and flu. Never give or share Hycin 50mg Tablet with anyone else. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child's doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
Hycin 50mg Tablet is unlikely to cause harm if an extra dose is given by mistake. However, if you think you have given too much of Hycin 50mg Tablet to your child, immediately consult a doctor. Overdose may cause unwanted side effects and may even worsen your child's condition.
Some serious side effects of this medicine include severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfection), severe allergic reactions, liver infections, blood infections, and heart conduction abnormalities like QT prolongation due to arrhythmia.
