Hydroxychloroquine (200mg)
HQ-Flam Tablet is used to treat autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, and also in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control.

HQ-Flam Tablet is a Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatoid Drug (DMARD) that works by suppressing the overactivity of the immune system that causes inflammation (swelling) and pain in the joints. It is used to treat autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, and also in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control. It is also used to slow the progression of the underlying disease and relieve pain, swelling, and redness.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. HQ-Flam Tablet is to be taken with food.

HQ-Flam Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
HQ-Flam Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.

It has also been suggested that hydroxychloroquine may increase insulin sensitivity and improve beta-cell function thereby improving glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
You have been prescribed HQ-Flam Tablet for the treatment of autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Do not take medicines that neutralise stomach acids (antacids) four hours before and after taking HQ-Flam Tablet as they can stop the medicine from being absorbed properly from your gut. Have regular eye tests done while taking this medicine. Stop taking it and inform your doctor immediately if you notice any changes in your vision.
