Homin Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays a crucial role in producing red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It's also essential for releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Your diet should include foods like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products that naturally contain vitamin B12. However, individuals who follow vegetarian or vegan diets may face difficulties in obtaining sufficient amounts of vitamin B12 as it is not naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, a lack of dietary vitamin B12 can lead to deficiency.
Vitamin B12 deficiency may cause tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia. This condition leads to larger-than-normal red blood cells. Additionally, it can result in nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include difficulties with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, impaired memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Homin Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe for use. However, it's important to note that rare side effects, such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash, may occur in some individuals. If a rash develops, discontinue use immediately.
Homin Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Homin Injection), and it's administered three times per week. After two months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Homin Injection) is given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
When injecting Homin Injection, avoid repeating injections at the same site each time. If you experience intense pain during injection or blood returns into the syringe, remove the needle and re-inject at a different site.
