Introduction

Gynotab Tablet VT is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine is only for vaginal application. You must wash your hands before and after using it. It is best to use this at bedtime regularly to get the most benefit. If there is any accidental exposure of the medicine to the eyes or mouth, you must wash immediately. For better efficacy of the medicine, the course of the treatment should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Lie on your back and gently insert the tablet into the vagina as mentioned in the label. It is best to use it just before bedtime.

Gynotab Tablet VT is a combination of three medicines: Clotrimazole, Lactobacillus, and Tinidazole. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism which maintains the vagina in a healthy condition by producing anti-infectious substances. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA.

Gynotab Tablet VT is inserted into the vagina using an applicator usually at night before going to bed. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy. Avoid contact with your eyes. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
