Do not use Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops for longer than 10 consecutive days as it may lead to complications such as "atrophic rhinitis". It's crucial to follow the prescribed dosage schedule and avoid abrupt discontinuation, as this can trigger "rebound congestion" in your child.
An overdose of Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops can cause severe dizziness, perspiration, a lowered body temperature, headache, bradycardia (slow heart rate), hypertension, respiratory depression, coma, and convulsions. It may even cause high blood pressure followed by a drop in blood pressure. Children are more sensitive to toxicity than adults, so it's crucial to immediately contact your child’s doctor if this happens.
Before using Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops, ask your child to clear their nose by blowing gently. Have them lie down and tilt their head back as far as comfortably possible. Alternatively, if on a bed, raise the head over the side. Open the cap of the medication bottle, avoiding contact between the nozzle and the nostril, then administer the drops into each nostril. Encourage your child to keep their head tilted back for a short time, allowing the drops to spread evenly throughout the nose. Replace the cap right after use. If the drop misses the nose completely, administer it again.
Call your child's doctor if they experience symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, tremor, irregular heartbeat, or elevated blood pressure after using Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops.
Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops can sometimes interact with other medications or substances. Discuss your child’s entire medication regimen with your doctor before starting Gxnose 0.05% Nasal Drops. Always consult your child's doctor before administering any medicine to your child.
When a child has a stuffy nose, it's advisable to have them sleep in the supine position with pillows for mucus drainage. Avoid side sleeping because this could increase congestion in one or both nostrils.
