Introduction

Grandox CV Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid. It is given to children to treat a wide range of severe bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria thereby preventing the infection spread. The medicine should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water, shake well, and use. Grandox CV Dry Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breastfeeding Warning

Grandox CV Dry Syrup is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Pregnancy Warning

Grandox CV Dry Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Grandox CV Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime Proxetil against bacteria.

Complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection. Become resistant or cause another infection. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help alleviate a bitter taste. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Never give Grandox CV Dry Syrup until and unless prescribed by the doctor. Do not give Grandox CV Dry Syrup to treat common cold and flu-like symptoms caused by viruses. Stop Grandox CV Dry Syrup immediately if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty.
