Amiloride Atenolol Beclometasone Betamethasone
Glutiro 50mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.
Along with your regular doctor visit you might also need regular check-ups with an eye clinic and a foot clinic as well. Your doctor will also advise you to test for sugar in your blood using a home diabetes test kit regularly to check that your sugar level is being controlled. Along with a healthy diet, indulge in light exercises regularly and quit smoking and drinking. If you feel excessively thirsty, pass urine more frequently, and get tired easily, then let your doctor know.
Glutiro 50mg Tablet does not directly cause hypoglycemia. However, it may contribute to a decrease in blood sugar levels when taken with other antidiabetic medications or insulin, potentially leading to hypoglycemic episodes. It is important to consult your healthcare provider if experiencing hypoglycemia as they can adjust your medication dosage.
Glutiro 50mg Tablet blocks the digestion of carbohydrates, leading to an accumulation of undigested carbohydrates in the colon. The bacterial fermentation of these accumulated carbohydrates causes intestinal gas, resulting in flatulence and abdominal pain.
Diarrhea is a common side effect of Glutiro 50mg Tablet. However, it can vary among individuals. Any food containing carbohydrates, like household sugar (cane sugar), may trigger diarrhea and severe abdominal pain. If the diarrhea persists or worsens, seeking medical advice immediately is essential.
Glutiro 50mg Tablet should be taken with meals, swallowed whole with water or chewed with the first mouthful of food. The initial dose of Glutiro 50mg Tablet is generally twice daily, and the dosage can gradually be increased to three times daily.
If you forget to take a dose of Glutiro 50mg Tablet, do not take the missed dose. Wait for the scheduled dose and meal and continue taking your tablets as prescribed. Never double the dose to compensate for missed doses.
Exceeding the recommended dose of Glutiro 50mg Tablet may lead to temporary increases in flatulence (gas accumulation), diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. It's advised to avoid meals or beverages containing carbohydrates for the next 4-6 hours.
