Amiloride Atenolol Beclometasone Betamethasone
Glucar 25 Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.
Along with your regular doctor visit you might also need regular check-ups with an eye clinic and a foot clinic as well. Your doctor will also advise you to test for sugar in your blood using a home diabetes test kit regularly to check that your sugar level is being controlled. Along with a healthy diet, indulge in light exercises regularly and quit smoking and drinking. If you feel excessively thirsty, pass urine more frequently, and get tired easily, then let your doctor know. These are the signs of very high sugar levels in your blood and your treatment may need adjusting.
Glucar 25 Tablet does not directly cause hypoglycemia. However, it may contribute to a decrease in blood sugar levels, which could potentially occur when taken alongside other antidiabetic medications or insulin. If this occurs, consult your doctor who may recommend adjusting the dosage.
Glucar 25 Tablet slows down carbohydrate digestion in the body, leading to undigested carbohydrates accumulating in the colon. This can cause bacterial fermentation of the accumulated carbohydrates, resulting in flatulence and abdominal discomfort.
Yes, diarrhea is a potential side effect of Glucar 25 Tablet, but not everyone experiences it. Certain foods containing carbohydrates like sugar can also trigger diarrhea and abdominal pain. If you experience persistent or severe diarrhea, please contact your doctor immediately.
Glucar 25 Tablet should be taken with meals and swallowed whole, preferably with water. The initial dose is usually twice daily, but the dosage can be gradually increased to thrice daily.
If you miss a dose of Glucar 25 Tablet, do not try to make up for it with an extra dose later. Wait for the regular scheduled time and meal before taking your next tablet. Never double-dose to compensate for missed tablets.
Taking a dosage higher than the recommended amount of Glucar 25 Tablet may increase flatulence (gas accumulation), lead to diarrhea, and cause abdominal discomfort. It's advisable to avoid foods or drinks containing carbohydrates for the next 4-6 hours after exceeding the recommended dose.
Glucar 25 Tablet should not be taken by individuals with: * Allergies to Glucar 25 Tablet * Severe liver disease * Inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's Disease) or intestinal ulcers (erosions). * Intestinal obstruction: Symptoms include cramping, vomiting, constipation, and lack of flatus. Also avoid this medication for people with a large hernia or an intestinal disorder that leads to poor digestion and absorption.
