Glorifyline Plus Tablet SR is used in the prevention of asthma. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening them and making it easier to breathe.

Introduction

Glorifyline Plus Tablet SR is a combination of three medicines: Montelukast, Levocetirizine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms of allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glorifyline Plus Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

You have been prescribed Glorifyline Plus Tablet SR for prevention of asthma. Take it at the same time each day preferably in the evening after food. Do not take it with any fruit juices (such as apple, orange or grapefruit) as they might make the drug less effective. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing. Your doctor may take regular blood test to monitor the level of drug in your body. Avoid using antacids within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. Notify your doctor if you smoke or have an viral infection. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.
