Frequently asked questions
What is Giomin 1500mcg Injection?
Giomin 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using folate (vitamin B9).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You may not obtain enough vitamin B12 from your diet if you are vegetarian or vegan. Vitamin B12 is not naturally found in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables and grains. It is commonly found in meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). Other symptoms include nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Additionally, vitamin B12 deficiency may result in balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness in the mouth or tongue.
Is Giomin 1500mcg Injection safe?
Giomin 1500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur. If a rash develops, discontinue using the medication immediately.
