Ginkosyn Tablet should be taken with food. It is advised to take medicine at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Common side effects of this medicine include palpitations, bleeding disorder, dizziness, gastrointestinal discomfort, and headache. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. As this medicine can cause dizziness, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

The compounds found in ginkgo may have a protective role in different stages of the decline of intellectual function via several mechanisms of action: vasoregulating activity of arteries, capillaries, and veins (increased blood flow), platelet activating factor (PAF) antagonism, homeostasis of inflammation and oxidative stress, and prevention of cell membrane damage caused by free radicals and neurotransmission modulation.
Before taking Ginkosyn Tablet, inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications. Stop using it at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery. Ginkosyn Tablet may affect diabetes management. Closely monitor your blood sugar levels if you are diabetic while taking this medicine.
