How to Use:
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside ear.
How it Works:
Gentariv Ear Drop is a combination of four medicines: Lidocaine, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole, and Gentamicin. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen, and itchy after an allergy or infection. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Gentamicin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
