Alcohol Warning
Consuming alcohol while taking Genogyl N Syrup may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Breastfeeding Warning
Genogyl N Syrup should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. If a single dose of Genogyl N Syrup is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.

How it works
Genogyl N Syrup is a combination of two antibiotics: Nalidixic Acid and Metronidazole. Nalidixic Acid works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing thereby killing the bacteria. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together they treat your infection effectively.

Do not use Genogyl N Syrup if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Genogyl N Syrup as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness. Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons numbness or tingling sensations. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
