Introduction

Gemcal-DS Soft Gelatin Capsule is a combination of Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate, and Vitamin K2-7. It is used to treat calcium deficiency and osteoporosis. It helps in the absorption of more calcium from the intestine and builds and maintains bone health.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like for bone disorders, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, other calcium supplements, or medicines for heart disease. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement as the absorption rate might be affected. Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach.
