Introduction

Gatirest 400mg Tablet should be used as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping doses and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, and stomach pain. These are usually temporary but consult your doctor if they persist. Diarrhea may also occur but should stop when the course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Gatirest 400mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Gatirest 400mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

Gatifloxacin oral (tablet and suspension) and injection form has been withdrawn from the market due to incidences of abnormally high or low blood sugar levels in humans. Its ophthalmic form (eye drop) is available to treat bacterial infections of the eye, which is considered safe for use.
