Gatcan LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Gatcan LS Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Gatcan LS Syrup may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease. Stop taking Gatcan LS Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
Gatcan LS Syrup is a combination of Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It is used to treat cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic, which thins and loosens phlegm (mucus) for easier coughing. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles of the airways, widening them. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of phlegm, facilitating its removal from the airways.
Gatcan LS Syrup is generally considered safe for most patients. However, some potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you experience any persistent problem while taking this medication, inform your doctor immediately.
Avoid using Gatcan LS Syrup in patients with a history of allergies to any active or inactive ingredients. Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should not usually be taken together.
Yes, Gatcan LS Syrup can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you experience dizziness, rest for a while and resume after feeling better. Do not drive or operate machinery until fully recovered.
Yes, Gatcan LS Syrup may cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids. If the diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration like reduced urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine, consult your doctor immediately. Do not take any other medication without your doctor's approval.
