Gatcan LS Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs, making it easier to cough out. It also provides relief from runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.

Gatcan LS Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Gatcan LS Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Gatcan LS Syrup may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease. Stop taking Gatcan LS Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
Gatcan LS Syrup contains Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It's used to treat coughs with mucus. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning and loosening the mucus for easier coughing out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and widens airways. Guaifenesin works as an expectorant by reducing mucus stickiness and facilitating removal from the airways.
Gatcan LS Syrup is generally safe for most patients, but some may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you have persistent problems while taking this medication, inform your doctor.
Gatcan LS Syrup is harmful in patients with a history of allergy to any of the active or inactive ingredients. Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should not be taken together.
Yes, Gatcan LS Syrup can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest and resume taking the medicine when you feel better. Avoid driving or operating machinery.
Yes, Gatcan LS Syrup can cause diarrhea. If you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Consult your doctor if diarrhea persists and if you notice signs of dehydration, such as less urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.
