Introduction

Gabamax NT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pregabalin and Nortriptyline. Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Together they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gabamax NT Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol Warning

Gabamax NT Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Breastfeeding Warning

Gabamax NT Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Pregnancy Warning

Gabamax NT Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.

Inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines. Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures. Immediately seek medical help if you experience hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle twitching, or loss of coordination. Along with taking Gabamax NT Tablet, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain.
