Tablet
Gabagest NT 400mg/10mg Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. It works by decreasing the pain through the modulation of calcium channel activity and increasing the levels of chemical messengers that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. This medicine is generally well-tolerated, but it may cause drowsiness, especially when taken with alcohol. It is important to consult your doctor before using this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks to the baby.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Gabagest NT 400mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Gabagest NT 400mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
Gabagest NT 400mg/10mg Tablet is used to treat certain types of long-lasting pain caused by damage to nerves. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines. Along with taking this medicine, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain. Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Gabagest NT 400mg/10mg Tablet as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.
