Gabagesic Gel is a combination of three medicines: Gabapentin, Lidocaine, and Baclofen. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Baclofen is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm without reduction in strength. This improves pain and movement of muscles. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain.
Gabagesic Gel is used to treat certain types of long-lasting pain caused by damage to nerves. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nose, and rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact or seek medical help in case of swallowing. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines. Along with taking Gabagesic Gel, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain.
