Syrup

Introduction

G Cet Plus Syrup can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will depend on the severity of your condition. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop using it. Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, dryness in mouth, dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, and high blood pressure. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. G Cet Plus Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How it works

G Cet Plus Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine, and Cetirizine which relieve common cold symptoms. Paracetamol is a analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that causes fever and pain. Phenylpropanolamine is a sympathomimetic agonist. It narrows blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.

Quick Tips

Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold. Along with taking G Cet Plus Syrup, do the following simple tips at home to get relief: Steam inhalation, Gargling with warm saltwater, Apply vapor rubs on chest and back if needed, Take enough rest, Take warm food and fluid only, Ensure adequate fluid intake, Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.
