Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder is an antifungal medication. It's used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm (a skin infection that causes a red scaly rash), athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It can also help relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis which may be associated with thrush.
Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder is effective against Trichophyton species, which cause ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch. It also works on the yeast known as Candida, a common cause of vaginal thrush (an overgrowth of yeast called Candida albicans).
You should see improvement in your symptoms, such as itching or soreness, within a few days of starting treatment. However, the signs of infection may take longer to disappear, like redness and scaling. Do not stop applying this medicine before you are advised to do so by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder. If you are applying it for an infected foot, make sure to thoroughly wash and dry your feet before and after application, especially between the toes. Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder should be applied thinly and evenly onto the affected areas, two or three times a day.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. In general, treatment is continued for one month for tinea infections, and at least 15 days for Candida infections. Do not stop using Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder without consulting your doctor because stopping it before you are advised to do so can risk the infection returning.
Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder is safe for children when given in the correct dosage and only for as long as prescribed by a doctor. Minor side effects may occur, but usually they are not bothersome.
Keep the affected skin areas clean and dry but avoid excessive rubbing. Itching is common in the early stages of infection and will subside once your treatment has begun and you have started to heal. Don't share towels, bath mats, etc., with others as this can spread the infection.
Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder might decrease the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If you are using it on your vulva or penis, you should use alternative methods of birth control for at least 5 days after using Fungoza 1% Dusting Powder.
