Freshcol Syrup is a type of sugar used to treat constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. It is a laxative that makes your stool easier to pass by drawing water into your bowel.

Introduction
Freshcol Syrup can be taken with or without food. You should take this medicine as advised by your doctor. Use this medicine regularly to get the maximum benefit and try to take it at the same time(s) each day. Your dose may go up or down depending on how well it is working. Do not take more than you are advised to and if you miss a dose, do not take an extra one to make up for it. This medicine takes at least 48 hours to work. Talk to your doctor if you are still constipated after 3 days.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Freshcol Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Safety Information
Side Effects
The most common side effects are nausea and vomiting. These are usually mild and go away after a couple of days. Occasionally people develop serious side effects including severe diarrhea and electrolyte imbalance.
Alcohol Warning
Consuming alcohol with Freshcol Syrup does not cause any harmful side effects.
Breastfeeding Warning
Freshcol Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy Warning
Freshcol Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
