People who follow vegetarian or vegan diets may struggle to obtain enough vitamin B12, as it is not naturally found in foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. This can lead to a deficiency of vitamin B12.
A deficiency in vitamin B12 may cause symptoms such as tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia. Additionally, it can lead to nerve problems like numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, as well as balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Fotia Plus Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects may occur in some individuals, such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash. If a rash appears, discontinue use immediately.
Fotia Plus Injection can be given intravenously or intramuscularly. The typical dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg) given three times a week, followed by maintenance therapy with 1 ampoule every one to three months after two months.
