Introduction

Fosfomin 4gm Injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in your body. It is effective in some infections of the urinary tract, lungs (eg. pneumonia), bones, brain (eg. meningitis), and blood. However, it is only used when other common antibiotics cannot be used.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.

Fosfomin 4gm Injection is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for their survival.

Fosfomin 4gm Injection is used for the treatment of bacterial infections when use of other common medicines is considered inappropriate. It is given as an injection into a vein by your doctor or nurse. Fosfomin 4gm Injection may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Your doctor may regularly monitor the level of electrolytes in your blood. A low-sodium diet is recommended during treatment.
