Introduction

Flupem E 0.5mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Alcohol Warning

Flupem E 0.5mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Flupenthixol and Escitalopram Oxalate which have anxiety-lowering and mood-elevating effects. Flupenthixol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Escitalopram Oxalate is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood.

It is better to take it at night as this medicine may produce drowsiness or sleepiness. Try to keep your regular appointments with your doctor. This is so your doctor can check on your progress. Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Flupem E 0.5mg/10mg Tablet can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when you are outdoors.
