Introduction

Flunor Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of schizophrenia, a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions. It alters the thoughts and elevates the mood, improving the person’s ability to think, feel, and behave. Flunor Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Some common side effects include dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, blurred vision, increased heart rate, muscle rigidity, restlessness, and tremor. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness. Inform your doctor if you have thyroid or kidney disease, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, glaucoma, or any heart disease before taking this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Flunor Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Flupenthixol is a typical antipsychotic that works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating mood and treating depression.

Flunor Tablet helps treat anxiety and depression. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Flunor Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine because it can make drowsiness worse. It can cause changes in your blood sugar levels. Monitor your blood sugar regularly. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, thyroid disorder, severe heart disease, or a urinary disorder. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Let your doctor know you are taking Flunor Tablet before undergoing any surgical procedure.
