Flucret Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine, paracetamol, and phenylephrine which relieves common cold symptoms. It is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms like sore throat, runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, body ache, and fever.
Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Flucret Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects. Stop Flucret Syrup and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties.

Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.

Giving your child more than the recommended dose of Flucret Syrup can lead to serious side effects, including seizures, rapid heart rate, depression, cognitive defects, and difficulty concentrating. To ensure accuracy, use the calibrated cup provided with the medication. Do not rely on a kitchen teaspoon as it may not provide the correct measurement.
Flucret Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Keep all medications out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Unless advised by your child's doctor, it is not recommended to give them more than one cough or cold medicine at a time. This can lead to an overdose due to potential duplication of ingredients in the medications. Always consult with your child's doctor before administering any medication.
