Flowon-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.
You have been prescribed Flowon-D Tablet to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Flowon-D Tablet may cause dizziness or blurring of vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. If you are scheduled to undergo an eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma, inform your eye doctor about the usage of Flowon-D Tablet.
Flowon-D Tablet can be effective when used according to your doctor's instructions. Never stop taking the medication, even if you see symptom improvement. Stopping early might lead to a return or worsening of symptoms.
Yes, Flowon-D Tablet can cause dizziness. This is because it contains Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin may lead to a sudden drop in blood pressure when changing from lying to sitting or standing, which could result in dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, spinning sensations, or vertigo. If you experience dizziness, do not drive or operate machinery; instead, take some time to rest and resume your activity only when you feel better.
Flowon-D Tablet is considered harmful for males under 18 years old because it may affect their reproductive system. It is also potentially harmful for individuals with known allergies to any of the ingredients in the medication and women who are pregnant or have the potential to become pregnant. Additionally, avoid contact with Flowon-D Tablet if you are pregnant as the medicine could be absorbed through the skin, posing a risk to the fetus.
Flowon-D Tablet is considered safe when used in the recommended dosage and duration advised by your doctor. Ensure you take it exactly as prescribed and report any side effects that bother you to your healthcare professional.
No, Flowon-D Tablet should be taken only in the recommended dosage. Overdosing can increase the risk of side effects. Always adhere to your doctor's prescribed dosage and duration.

Retrograde ejaculation (semen does not leave the body, instead goes into the bladder) and ejaculation failure (reduced or absent ejaculation volume) are common issues associated with the use of Flowon-D Tablet. However, these side effects are usually harmless and more often seen when taking high doses.
Yes, Flowon-D Tablet can cause priapism (painful penile erection). This is a serious but rare side effect. However, in some cases, it can lead to long-term erectile dysfunction if not treated promptly.
Using Flowon-D Tablet may cause floppy eye syndrome. This means the muscles in the iris become loose and the pupil constricts unexpectedly during cataract surgery. As a result, the surgeon might need to dilate the pupil more than usual. However, if you are having cataract surgery, make sure you inform your ophthalmologist (doctor specializing in eye care) about using this medicine or if you used it within the last 9 months.
Lifestyle changes can help you better manage your prostate symptoms. Try to urinate when you first feel a strong urge to go. However, avoid straining or forcing while urinating. Also, try not to consume fluids (especially alcohol, caffeine) for a few hours before bed or going out; avoid medications that could worsen urinary issues as well.
