Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension is an antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in children.
Suspension
Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension is an antibiotic medicine commonly prescribed for children to treat various bacterial infections affecting the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract. It is also used in the treatment regimen for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). The medicine works by interfering with the genetic material of bacteria, preventing their multiplication and survival. It is crucial to complete the entire course of antibiotics to avoid bacterial resistance and recurrence of infection. Consult a doctor for any side effects or concerns.
Administer Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension as prescribed by the doctor. Ensure the child completes the entire course of the antibiotic.
Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. These defects hinder bacterial multiplication and survival, effectively killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing the spread of infection.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Discontinue Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Flowmet 50mg/5ml Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
