It relaxes the muscles of the urinary tract, helping to relieve symptoms such as painful urination, excessive urination at night, and inability to control urine flow. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, fever, sweating, palpitations, and nervousness. Drinking plenty of water may help alleviate these side effects. It may also cause dizziness or sleepiness, so avoid driving or activities requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Consult your doctor if side effects persist or worsen. Inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients with glaucoma should be extra cautious and inform their doctor before starting treatment.

Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Chewing sugarless gum and drinking plenty of water may help. Inform your doctor if you have glaucoma.
