How it works
Fixaction CV Dry Syrup is a potent antibiotic comprising two active medicines: Cefixime and Clavulanic acid. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, this medicine stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing and prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment. The second ingredient, clavulanic acid, is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It reduces resistance and enhances the activity of cefixime against bacteria.

Frequently asked questions
What if I give too much Fixaction CV Dry Syrup by mistake? What should I do?
If you suspect your child has taken an extra dose of Fixaction CV Dry Syrup, contact a doctor immediately. While overdose usually doesn't cause significant harm, it does increase the risk of unwanted side effects and might worsen your child's condition.
Are there any possible serious side effects of Fixaction CV Dry Syrup? What should I do if my child experiences a severe reaction?
Possible serious side effects of this medicine include persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child's doctor in case of any severe reactions. If you notice any signs of a dangerous situation, like difficulty breathing or a rapid heartbeat, seek immediate medical attention.
Can I give my child other medications alongside Fixaction CV Dry Syrup at the same time?
Fixaction CV Dry Syrup may interact with other medicines. Always inform your doctor of all medications and supplements your child is taking before starting this treatment. It's crucial to check with your doctor for guidance on administering any medication during treatment.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Fixaction CV Dry Syrup? Is it safe?
Antibiotics generally do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines and should not cause a reaction in children who have been recently vaccinated. However, children on antibiotics should not receive vaccinations until their illness is completely resolved. If your child feels better after recovering from their illness, they can be immunized later.
My child's nose mucus has turned yellow-green. Is this a sign of a bacterial infection?
The color of mucus does not indicate the type of infection your child may have. Yellow or green mucus is not an indication that antibiotics are needed in all cases. During a common cold, symptoms usually last 7-10 days and can cause changes in mucus consistency and color.
My child has a sore throat and ear infection. Can I give them antibiotics?
No. More than 80% of sore throats and ear infections are caused by viruses, and antibiotics are not effective against them. If your child experiences a sore throat, runny nose, barking cough, pain, and discharge from their ears, it's likely due to a virus. Please consult with your doctor for guidance.
