Short Description

Finbraid 5mg Tablet is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, helping to shrink the size of the enlarged prostate gland and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine, urgent need to pass urine, and inability to hold the urine.

Introduction

Finbraid 5mg Tablet is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that blocks an enzyme necessary to change testosterone to another hormone that causes prostate growth. It helps to shrink the prostate and relieve symptoms like difficulty in passing urine. The medicine should be taken by mouth with or without food, and the dose and duration should be taken as per prescription. It may take some time for the medicine to act upon the symptoms, so it is important to take the medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Finbraid 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects

It may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive.

Your doctor has prescribed Finbraid 5mg Tablet to shrink the enlarged prostate and reduce the risk of urinary retention. It may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Finbraid 5mg Tablet. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor. Finbraid 5mg Tablet is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive. Should never be used by women or children. Pregnant women must not consume or even touch Finbraid 5mg Tablet.
