Frequently asked questions
What is Finbion 1500mcg Injection?
Finbion 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body needs to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It's also important for releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You may be able to get vitamin B12 from sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, people who don't eat these foods (such as vegetarians or vegans) might not have enough Vitamin B12 because it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, or grains. This can lead to a deficiency of Vitamin B12.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (when red blood cells are larger than normal). It can also lead to nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other possible symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory problems, sore mouth or tongue.
Is Finbion 1500mcg Injection safe?
Finbion 1500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash may occur. If you experience a rash while using this medicine, stop taking it immediately.
How should Finbion 1500mcg Injection be given?
Finbion 1500mcg Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Finbion 1500mcg Injection), and it's given three times per week. After two months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Finbion 1500mcg Injection) is given every one to three months as part of long-term therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Finbion 1500mcg Injection?
When using Finbion 1500mcg Injection, avoid injecting it at the same site each time. If you experience pain or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different spot.
