Femoston Mini Tablet is a combination medicine used for hormone replacement therapy to relieve symptoms of menopause in postmenopausal women.
Tablet
Femoston Mini Tablet should be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time each day. This is done to ensure consistent levels of medicine in the body. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Femoston Mini Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Femoston Mini Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines: Estradiol and Dydrogesterone which are a part of hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Estradiol works by restoring the falling levels of estrogen in the body which helps reduce distressing symptoms of menopause. However, it may affect the womb lining (endometrium) and increase the risk of endometrial cancer. Dydrogesterone is added to oppose the harmful effect of Estradiol on the womb lining and reduce cancer risk.
Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. Low-intensity exercise such as yoga may help with your symptoms. However, avoid infrequent high-impact exercise. Reduce your intake of caffeinated drinks and alcohol as these may make your symptoms worse. Ensure that you undergo regular breast screening (for presence of lumps or any abnormal changes) and cervical smear test while taking this medicine. Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or changes in vision.
