How it works
Fastdoz-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Frequently asked questions
What is Fastdoz-MR Tablet?
Fastdoz-MR Tablet contains diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. These medicines work together to relieve muscle pain by reducing the chemical prostaglandins in the body that cause pain and inflammation.
Is Fastdoz-MR Tablet safe for use?
Fastdoz-MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some people may experience side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, drowsiness and other rare or less common side effects. If you experience persistent problems, notify your doctor immediately.
Should I stop taking Fastdoz-MR Tablet when my pain subsides?
If prescribed by your doctor, continue using Fastdoz-MR Tablet for the recommended duration. However, if you only use it for short-term pain relief, your doctor may recommend stopping it.
Can I experience nausea and vomiting while taking Fastdoz-MR Tablet?
Yes, some patients may experience nausea and vomiting when using this medication. If you experience these side effects, consider consuming the medication with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods alongside this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink water in small frequent sips. If symptoms persist and signs of dehydration appear, such as dark-colored and strong-smelling urine and a decreased urination frequency, seek immediate medical advice from your doctor. Avoid taking any other medication without consulting your doctor.
Can Fastdoz-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, some patients may experience dizziness while using this medication. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest for a while and resume your activity only when feeling better.
Can long-term use of Fastdoz-MR Tablet damage the kidneys?
Prolonged use of Fastdoz-MR Tablet can potentially damage the kidneys. The normal kidneys produce prostaglandins, which protect them from damage. Long-term painkiller use can lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body, leading to kidney damage over time. Patients with pre-existing kidney disease should avoid using this medication.
Can I take a higher dose than recommended for Fastdoz-MR Tablet?
Taking more than the recommended dosage of Fastdoz-MR Tablet can increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects. If you are experiencing increased pain severity or if your pain is not relieved by the prescribed dose, please consult your doctor to discuss possible adjustments.
