Introduction

Famcool-D 10mg/20mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Famcool-D 10mg/20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Famcool-D 10mg/20mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines. Domperidone is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Famotidine is an H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps to relieve acidity, indigestion, and heartburn.

You have been prescribed Famcool-D 10mg/20mg Tablet to get relief from acidity and heartburn. Avoid taking any antacid at least 2 hours before or after taking Famcool-D 10mg/20mg Tablet. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity and heartburn: Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food. Lose weight if you are obese. If you are a smoker, consider giving up. Don't drink too much alcohol. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
