Introduction

Faltidin 40mg Tablet is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist that works by reducing the acid produced in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. It is commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. It must be swallowed whole with water before or after a meal, and taken in the dose and duration advised by the doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Faltidin 40mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Alcohol Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Faltidin 40mg Tablet.

Breastfeeding Warning

Pregnancy Warning

Faltidin 40mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Faltidin 40mg Tablet is a well-tolerated and safe medicine with a very low incidence of side effects. Take it with or without food. Avoid taking soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Faltidin 40mg Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease as dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted.
