How it works
Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria.

Frequently asked questions
What should I do if my child is taking other medicines along with Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup?
You should inform your doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup. Additionally, consult with your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Can my child get vaccinated while on treatment with Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup?
Yes, antibiotics like Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup usually do not interfere with vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, it's recommended to wait until your child recovers from the illness before getting vaccinated.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup on a long-term basis?
During prolonged therapy with Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup, your doctor may monitor kidney and liver function tests periodically to keep track of your child's condition.
Should I give my child a higher than recommended dose of Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup?
No, giving a higher than recommended dose of this medicine can increase the risks of side effects. If you notice increased severity of symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop giving this medicine to your child unless the full course of treatment is complete, even if you feel better. Continue giving the medicine for the due course as it may still be showing beneficial effects.
Can Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup cause diarrhea?
Yes, Fagmox Duo Dry Syrup may cause diarrhea by killing harmful bacteria and affecting the helpful bacteria in your child's stomach. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water or other fluids if they experience diarrhea. Consult a doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
No, most of the time, bacterial infections do not follow viral infections. Giving antibiotics in viral infection can increase your child's risk of developing side effects. Use antibiotics only after consulting with your child's doctor.
What does yellow or green mucus in my child's nose mean?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose does not necessarily mean that antibiotics are needed. It is normal for mucus to thicken up and change color during a common cold, which often lasts for 7-10 days.
Is there any sign that shows my child needs immediate medical attention?
Yes, you must call your child's doctor right away if your child experiences serious allergic reactions (breathing problems, skin rashes), gastrointestinal infections (diarrhea), and liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). These side effects are rare but serious and need expert attention.
