How it works

Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Hyoscine butylbromide and Paracetamol which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Hyoscine butylbromide is an anti-cholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain.

Quick Tips

Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Do not take Exospas Plus 10mg/325mg Tablet at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
