How it works
Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup?
Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup may interact with other medications or substances. Consult your child's doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting this medication. It's also important to seek guidance from your child's doctor before administering any medicine to your child.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup?
Generally, antibiotics do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines and don't cause a negative reaction. However, it's crucial to avoid giving any medication to your child until they recover from their illness. Once your child feels better, the vaccine can be administered. Remember, if you are unsure about vaccinating your child during their treatment, speak with your healthcare provider.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup on a long-term basis?
During prolonged therapy, your child's doctor may periodically monitor kidney and liver function tests to assess their condition.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup to my child?
Giving a higher dose than recommended can increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences worsening symptoms, please consult their doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
Do not discontinue the medication without completing the full course, even if you perceive symptom relief. It's essential to continue the treatment because it might still be providing beneficial effects.
Can Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup cause diarrhea?
Yes, Evorclav Junior Dry Syrup can cause diarrhea. This is due to the medication's effect on harmful bacteria and its impact on helpful bacteria in the child’s gut, leading to increased bowel movements. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids if they experience diarrhea. If the symptoms persist or you notice signs of dehydration (e.g., decreased urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine), consult their doctor before administering other medications.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
Most viral cold cases do not lead to bacterial infections, which typically occur after a virus spreads. Remember, antibiotics are only necessary for bacterial infections and should only be used after consulting your child's doctor.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose doesn't always indicate a bacterial infection. It's normal for mucus to thicken and change color during a common cold. Symptoms usually last 7-10 days.
Is there any sign which shows that my child needs immediate medical attention?
Seek immediate medical attention if your child experiences serious allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, skin rash), gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea), and signs of liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). These are uncommon but must be addressed by a healthcare professional.
