Alfuzosin Amisulpride Aripiprazole Carbamazepine
Etz 200 Capsule is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Take it with food preferably at the same time every day. Use a reliable method of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking this medicine. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within 2 hours of taking Etz 200 Capsule.
Etz 200 Capsule is used to treat fungal infections caused by Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., and Epidermophyton floccosum. This medicine treats ringworm infection, foot infections, groin or buttock infections. It also treats persistent nail (fingernails or toenails) infections, as well as candida (yeast) infections of the vagina, mouth, or throat in patients with lowered disease resistance. Lastly, it is used for treating cryptococcal and Histoplasma, Aspergillus, and Blastomyces infections.
The duration of treatment depends on the type and site of infection, as well as your response to treatment. For example, if you are taking Etz 200 Capsule for athlete's foot (fungal skin infection), the dose may be taken for up to 30 days; in contrast, if you are using it for a candidal vaginal infection, the dose may span from one day to three days depending on the prescribed dosage by your doctor.
No, you should not stop taking Etz 200 Capsule without completing the entire course as stopping early may not completely cure the fungal infection. It typically takes six to nine months for nail lesions to disappear because after the medicine eliminates the fungus, the new nail grows over several months. Do not worry if you do not see any improvement during treatment.
Your doctor may be monitoring your liver’s functioning as Etz 200 Capsule could potentially lead to serious liver damage. If you experience signs of liver damage such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, or abdominal pain while taking Etz 200 Capsule, it's important to tell your doctor immediately.
Etz 200 Capsule can be used effectively if the stomach has sufficient acid. Medications for stomach ulcers, heartburn, or indigestion aim to neutralize acid produced by the stomach, so you should take antacids or similar medications approximately two hours after taking Etz 200 Capsule. If you are using antacids (medications that inhibit the production of stomach acid), take Etz 200 Capsules with a drink of cola.
Drug resistance happens when fungi in your body change and the medicine no longer works. This is called drug resistance. Drug resistance against Etz 200 Capsule has been reported with some candida species (krusei, glabrata, and tropicalis). Therefore, it should not be used for infections caused by these species. Taking the full course of Etz 200 Capsule can help avoid drug resistance.
Yes, you can take both alprazolam and Etz 200 Capsule together; however, be mindful of the side effects of alprazolam like lightheadedness or drowsiness. If these side effects appear after taking Etz 200 Capsule, consult with your doctor who may adjust the dosage of alprazolam.
Your doctor did not prescribe Etz 200 Capsule to your friend because Etz 200 Capsule interferes with the function of dofetilide. This interference can cause disturbed electrical activity in the heart, which could be harmful to the patient.
