Introduction

Esnotone Plus Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Esnotone Plus Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Guaifenesin, Diethylcarbamazine and Chlorpheniramine Maleate which treat parasitic infections. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) helping in its removal from the airways. Diethylcarbamazine is an antiparasitic medicine which works by decreasing the muscular activity and causing paralysis of the worms. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which decreases the raised eosinophil count (white blood cells) and controls allergic symptoms like cough and breathlessness.

You have been prescribed Esnotone Plus Tablet to treat a variety of parasitic worm infections. Your doctor may monitor your blood counts and liver function before you start taking this medicine and regularly throughout your treatment.
