Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used for contraception (to prevent pregnancy) and in the treatment of irregular periods.

Introduction

Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill. It works by preventing the release of egg (ovulation) and affecting sperm movement in the womb to prevent its union with the egg. It also changes the lining of the womb and renders it unsuitable for pregnancy.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breastfeeding Warning

Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Nonhormonal and progestin-only contraceptives are preferred in breastfeeding women, especially during the first 4 weeks postpartum

Pregnancy Warning

Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Take your pill at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. You may experience menstrual irregularities such as spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods or missed periods. Consult your doctor if this persists. Do not use Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet if you are obese, over 35, smoke, on prolonged bed rest, or have a history of blood clots. Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, severe headache, or changes in vision. Stop taking Eslevo D 0.03mg/3mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you notice your skin and whites of the eye turning yellow (jaundice), severe stomach pain, severe depression, or if you think you could be pregnant.
