Short Description

Eriol-F Tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of bipolar depression by increasing the level of chemical messengers in the brain to improve mood and physical symptoms.

Introduction

Eriol-F Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It is important to take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Some common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, muscle rigidity, restlessness, tremor, delayed ejaculation, anorgasmia (decreased orgasm), and low sexual desire. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not subside or bother you. Inform your doctor if you have thyroid or kidney disease, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, glaucoma, or any heart disease. Avoid alcohol while taking Eriol-F Tablet as it may worsen certain side effects. Eriol-F Tablet can also lead to weight gain, so eat a healthy balanced diet, avoid high-calorie snacks, and exercise regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts or behavior.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Eriol-F Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol Warning

Avoid alcohol while taking Eriol-F Tablet as it may worsen certain side effects.

Eriol-F Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Fluoxetine and Olanzapine. They work by increasing the activity of certain chemicals called serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain. These chemicals help relieve the symptoms of bipolar depression.

You have been prescribed Eriol-F Tablet for the treatment of bipolar disorder with depression. Take it in the evening as it can make you feel sleepy. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to experience the full benefits of the medication. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. It may cause an increase in weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides (fat). Eat healthy and exercise regularly. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts.
