Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ergomont-L Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Ergomont-L Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Ergomont-L Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drink alcohol while taking Ergomont-L Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help. Stop taking Ergomont-L Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
