Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Epsod 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Epsod 100mg Tablet.
Epsod 100mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Epsod 100mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Epsod 100mg Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Take your medication regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures. Do not change the brand of your medicine and make sure that you have sufficient amount of medicine present with you. Some healthy tips to prevent seizures: Practice yoga every day. Get enough sleep at nighttime. Limit the use of screen time such as mobile/laptop. Take your medication on time. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. It may increase blood sugar levels. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines to treat diabetes. It may cause swollen gum (gum hypertrophy) hence take care of oral or dental hygiene. Talk to your doctor if you notice sudden mood changes or develop suicidal thoughts. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
On average, Epsod 100mg Tablet may remain detectable in your system for 5-6 days. This duration can vary among individuals, with some experiencing a longer presence (up to 9-10 days).
Abruptly stopping Epsod 100mg Tablet can lead to seizures (status epilepticus), which poses a serious risk. Consult your doctor before discontinuing treatment. If necessary, they will gradually decrease your dosage until complete cessation.
An overdose of Epsod 100mg Tablet may manifest as jerky eye movements (nystagmus), unclear speech, a loss of balance, tremor, muscle stiffness or weakness, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, fainting, blurred vision, slow and shallow breathing, and even coma. Overdose can lead to significant hypotension and respiratory complications, possibly resulting in death.
Individuals with liver disease, particularly those with a history of liver problems related to Epsod 100mg Tablet, should avoid taking it. Similarly, patients currently on Delavirdine (HIV treatment) should not combine these two medications as they may decrease the effectiveness of Delavirdine and make the virus resistant.
Epsod 100mg Tablet can be combined with ibuprofen. No significant drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two medications. However, potential interactions may exist. Consult your doctor before combining these drugs.
Common side effects in children associated with Epsod 100mg Tablet include jerky eye movements (nystagmus) and overgrowth of gums. Some children experience problems with thinking, behavior changes, slow or clumsy movement, or loss of energy. Higher doses may lead to unsteadiness of the feet and hands, sleepiness, and vomiting. These side effects often subside when the dose is gradually reduced.
Epsod 100mg Tablet has not been associated with weight gain. However, prolonged use at higher doses may lead to unintentional weight loss. Consult your doctor if you experience unexpected weight changes after taking this medication.
Epsod 100mg Tablet can cause drowsiness, somnolence, and fatigue. If excessive sleepiness is experienced, especially during the first few weeks of treatment or following a dose increase, consult your doctor as they may advise against driving or operating machinery until their driving ability is fully evaluated.
Epsod 100mg Tablet can negatively impact birth control effectiveness. It may reduce the efficacy of oral contraceptives (birth control pills). This could make contraceptive use unreliable, so consult your doctor about potential alternative measures for contraception.
